Well, the first day of Advent is quickly upon us and a few of the ways we'll be preparing our kids for Christmas is by doing the Holy Heroes Advent Adventure along with the Advent wreath, a Jesse tree, and the placement of the nativity. Still need to get our LED pink and purple candles and a garland or wreath.
The adults each get a chocolate Advent calendar from World Market to indulge in each day of Advent.
So instead of purchasing a pre-made Jesse tree made of paper, I've always wanted to make one from felt to re-use over the years so we'll see how that goes but right now can't seem to find the right patterns to use on the felt for the ornaments.
No matter how ready we are for Advent, we're looking forward to this time of reflection and preparation for the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day.
