So for a long time now, our blog URL had been on our Facebook profile but as we would have it, no one really noticed (which is not really surprising). After much contemplation and discernment, we finally decided to deactivate our profile on Facebook. We are going to try using Twitter and our blog as our main source of contact on the Internet. Sure, it's not easy when almost everyone we know has a profile on Facebook but truth be told, it's got to be the biggest time sucker and productivity just seems to go way down, at least for some of us. Ha ha! So far, it's going well but we do feel we're somewhat missing out on what our friends and family are up to. Guess we're just going to have to get creative! Besides, whatever happened to the simple way of contacting people on the phone? What did we ever do before technology and cell phones?
We're just wondering when more people we know will hop on the bandwagon to get on Twitter. We admit, we didn't quite understand Twitter so much when we first signed up but after much "tweeting," we can see why so many people (especially celebrities) are on it. It's a great way to network and it's ideal if you're limited on time. You learn to get creative and it's almost like playing a game (yes, you can actually get "graded" based on the tweets you post!).
Anyhow, we notified the close friends and family (at least the ones we knew the email addresses for) that were our Facebook friends via email with the address to our blog.
